Install (PWA) Apps For Offline Use

Appicenter apps are based on Progressive Web App (PWA) technology which means they are Web apps that can be made to work offline.

An extra install step is needed for this to work which is described below for various platforms.

The app was intalled from the Android Market/Playstore and is luanched from an icon on your home screen

• No extra install step is necessary

The app was launched on an Android device from a URL

• Open the app from the URL
• Tap the three-dot menu icon on the upper left
• Select "Add to Home screen" or "Install" from the menu options
• Confirm the installation by tapping the "Add" or "Install" button
• An app icon will be added to your homescreen
• Going fotward launch the app using the icon

The app was launched on iOS device from a URL (via Safari)

• Open the app from the URL
• Press the share button in the Safari toolbar which looks like a square with an arrow pointing upwards
• Scroll down and select "Add to Home Screen" option
• Confirm the app's name and icon
• Tap "Add": in the top-right corner
• An app icon will be added to your homescreen
• Going fotward launch the app using the icon
